Author Name Faith Cook
Here is a collection of ten biographical sketches spanning a timescale of 450 years — from John Rogers in the 1500s to Fred Mitchell in the 1950s. In her inimitable style, Faith Cook draws the reader deeply into each story. Moving through time, this little book will encourage the reader by showing again how almighty God gives his children grace in every time of need.

This is the fourth in a series of booklets that aims to make selected writings from Evangelical Times available in a more permanent and accessible form. Other books in the series are: A cloud of witnesses by Michael Haykin; Heaven by Gordon Keddie; and Preaching Christ by Edgar Andrews.

Faith Cook was born in China, the daughter of OMF missionaries, and now lives in Derbyshire. She is married to Paul, who served as a pastor in churches in Northallerton, Shepshed and Hull. They have five children and ten grandchildren. She is also the author of Caught in the web; Lives turned upside down; The nine-day Queen of England; Our hymn-writers and their hymns; Seeing the Invisible and Under the scaffold.
